Occupying a special place in fragrance history along with other venerable brands like Charlie, Wind Song (Prince Matchabelli), or anything by Coty, Jean Nate continues to dazzle drugstore shelves with it's classic yellow packaging and bulbous black cap.
Growing up in my house there was always a Jean Nate After Bath Splash or perfumed powder (with matching puff!) in our bathroom as it was mom's favorite. I recall hitting the Nate a few times after a bath and luxuriating in the scent. Perhaps that helped encourage the "your son may be a homosexual" discussion my fourth grade teacher had with my parents at the Baptist School. You think?
