I'm at the mall on a diet pill...!

After nearly 16 years The B-52's have finally released a studio album! It's fantastic... they're just as fun, silly and clever as ever - with great writing and musicianship.

My favorite song on the album (at the moment) is "Juliette of the Spirits". I put the name into Google and learned that there's a 60's surrealist Fellini movie of the same name. The B-52's were apparently inspired by this movie which I'm now intrigued to watch.

Now I'm even more excited to see them live in May!

Bailey needs love...

This is a dog in crisis. I don't know what his damage is... Lately he has been very needy and clingy like a lurex gown. Right now I'm trying to explain to him why I'm posting his picture on the Internet and blogging about him.

Maybe he knows that nobody really believes he's a purebred Chihuahua. The others in the house are... maybe that is why he has to go to Grandma's all the time to "play" with Maggie. Maybe it's really some sort of half-breed halfway house. Maybe I'm being institutionalized in installments.

I must agree that it's somewhat of a nuthouse. After all, I grew up with those people...
